Partial serial numbers can be seen beneath the dial stamped on the pillar plate as seen (645) below. Unfortunately many are not stamped clearly. There are no known records of anyone’s attempt to catalog these numbers and see which “unassigned” serial number blocks they may have been manufactured from. This knowledge could help us to better understand when they were manufactured.
