Roy Ehrhardt reported in his Identification and Price Guide to American Pocket Watches, 1999 Edition that Tribune U.S.A. is a private label Trading Watch in Seth Thomas 18-sizeModel 12 and Model 13. The Pocket Watch Database reports that Seth Thomas manufactured the private label Tribune movements for F. M. Sproehnle & Co. of Chicago Illinois. The letterhead and message shown below document that Sproehnle & Co. was doing business in Chicago as a “jobber” in 1901.
