E. Rhodes - Bay City, Mich.

The movement presents with a 6-size C. E. Rhodes - Bay City, Mich. Roman private label dial with a ring minute track and no marginals. It is fitted with Seth Thomas blued Morning Glory hands, 6-size. 

C. E. Rhodes - Bay City, Mich. is a private label in Seth Thomas Model 14. Charles E. Rhodes (April 3, 1840 - June 14, 1925) served as a solder in the Union Army from August 14, 1861, during the Civil War. He became a jeweler in Genesee, Michigan after his discharge in the 1860’s until 1873 when he moved his family to Bay City, Michigan where he established his business as a jeweler and watchmaker at 813 N. Water Street. He and his family lived at 1209 12th Street in Bay City. In 1899 he moved again to Saginaw Michigan where he also ran his own jewelry business at 524 Potter Street. He lived at 612 N. 2nd Street in Saginaw.
