The movement were very likely manufactured for Peter Holler, a jeweler in Brooklyn New York. Peter Holler was born in 1850 in Germany and arrived in the United States in 1872. In 1873 Peter Holler started Holler’s Watch Company and worked as jeweler on Broadway in Brooklyn for many years. In 1901 the business name was changed to Holler Watch Company. A younger relative Henry J. Holler, possibly a nephew, soon joined the business as an optometrist. In 1910 the business moved from Broadway to Fulton Street. Peter Holler died at the age of 83 in 1933.
